At ESOL College, we believe that stories are powerful tools that shape young minds, build language skills, and nurture imagination. Our "Once Upon a Time" Storytelling Sessions were conducted for Beginners 1, Beginners 2, Beginners 3 and Elementary 1 students across all four branches, bringing learning to life through carefully selected storybooks and interactive activities.
Each level experienced a story suited to their language ability and developmental stage, ensuring both engagement and meaningful learning.
Beginners 1 — The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Our PSJ students delighted in the colorful and repetitive world of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Through this much-loved story, they explored days of the week, food vocabulary, numbers, and the life cycle of a butterfly. The interactive elements like sound effects, movement, and guided participation helped students strengthen listening skills and build early speaking confidence in a joyful environment.
Beginners 2 — The Ant and the Grasshopper
Beginners 2 students engaged with the classic fable The Ant and the Grasshopper, discovering the importance of hard work, responsibility, and planning ahead. Beyond vocabulary and comprehension development, the session encouraged students to think critically about choices and consequences, helping them connect moral lessons to real-life situations.
Beginners 3 and Elementary 1 — The Gingerbread Man
For our Beginners 3 and Elementary 1 learners, the energetic tale of The Gingerbread Man created an exciting atmosphere filled with repetition and prediction. Students actively participated by repeating key phrases, acting out scenes, and expressing character emotions. This approach supported pronunciation, fluency, and expressive speaking skills while building confidence in using English.
