Voice of ESOL 2025: Inter-Branch Project Competition — Grand Finale

In 2025, ESOL College embraced a powerful theme: Holistic Development of a Student. That question led to the birth of Voice of ESOL 2025 — The Inter-Branch Project Competition, organized by the Student Development Department. What began as a small idea soon evolved into a transformative, multi-stage initiative that brought together students, teachers, and departments across ESOL College.

A Structured Journey of Growth

Voice of ESOL 2025 was designed as a five-stage journey that encouraged creativity, leadership, collaboration, and real-world problem solving: student-led project proposals within a Rs. 7,500 budget, a Pitch Perfect Workshop Series run with the Marketing, Finance and IT departments, branch-wise proposal presentations that selected 14 finalist teams, four weeks of real-world project implementation, and the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale

The journey culminated on 5th October 2025 at the Sri Soratha Auditorium, Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The event was graced by Professor Arosha Adikaram, Senior Professor and Chair of the Department of Human Resource Management, University of Colombo, who served as Chief Guest and Chief Judge, and Ms. Rasini Biyanwila, Manager - HR at Fortude Pvt Ltd, as a distinguished judge. The 14 finalist teams presented their project outcomes — not just what they had planned, but what they had successfully implemented — with presentations reflecting growth, confidence, and maturity far beyond expectations.
