Global Teaching, Local Roots

ESOL College International has been a trusted name in English language education in Sri Lanka since 2006, teaching students from as young as three and a half years old and serving as an official preparatory centre for Cambridge English Examinations. ESOL College provides the local academic infrastructure that supports CELA Global's international programme — combining global teaching expertise with an established local presence.

Programme Structure

From Enrolment to Cambridge Exams

Transferring From ESOL

Open to students who have completed at least Level 1 at ESOL College.
Eligibility is confirmed through an assessment test.
Students who don't yet qualify can continue at ESOL College and reapply once they've made further progress.

New Students

Designed for learners above 7 years of age.
Applicants complete an online assessment test followed by an interview with the Head of Academics.
Final placement is determined by the combined results of both steps.

Class Structure

All classes are conducted virtually through the CELA online student portal. Attendance records, examination results, class links and important notices are all managed and shared through this single platform.

Exam Structure

Students sit monthly examinations covering both written and speaking assessments. Students who score above 80 marks for three consecutive months become eligible to progress to official Cambridge English Examinations.
